Outreach & Partners

Faculty, staff and students in the College of Science are deeply engaged with the Charlotte community. We inspire the scientists of tomorrow by engaging K-12 students in discovery activities and working with community colleges to ensure that transferring to UNC Charlotte is as seamless as possible. We teach local citizens about our work by presenting seminars and demonstrations at venues such as Discovery Place, the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and local pubs/restaurants. Faculty and students in the College of Science contribute to the annual UNC Charlotte Science and Technology Expo, which brings thousands of children of all ages to campus each spring to watch STEM demonstrations and participate in hands-on activities.
